Academy 9 - Transformation 9 - Posture Correction

Back so soon girls? Yay! How about we get down to some more advanced feminine posture training?

What if?

What would you say if I told you there was a way to work on your posture, give you a much more suitable feminine shape to your body and provide fuel for your desire to be in bondage?

Hopefully you didn’t call me a liar, because what we’re going to talk about today will do all of this and more!

Corsets

Most of you will have realised (or seen the heading before reading the preceding paragraph) that I’m referring to corsets. Tight, binding, inescapable corsets, wearing one feels like you’re been permanently hugged and that’s only a fringe benefit!

To begin

In case I haven’t been clear enough, we’re talking about corsets today. Shapers and waist trainers are wonderful in their own right and every girl  should have one. Not every day is a corset day, sometimes you don’t have the time needed to put one on or your schedule is such that wearing one isn’t a good idea, this is where waist trainers come in (sleeping in them is also a lot easier!).

For training purposes a corset refers to something like this. It should have laces and it should have hard, unrelenting steel bones in it.

Benefits

In Module 4 you learned about the physical differences between male and female bodies. An hourglass body shape is considered feminine whereas men tend to be more rectangular. A corset is the tool to help you here. Once you have it on and tightened up, your midriff will be squeezed in and you will have an hourglass figure.

The only way you won’t is if you don’t tighten the corset enough but trust me, once you have a corset your sissy nature will work with you, it won’t let you slack off because it will crave for the laces to be drawn tighter and tighter. Then, once you see your silhouette or catch sight of yourself in a mirror you won’t be able to stop yourself doing it again and again and again.

Benefit 2 is your posture. As we’ve discussed, the corsets you want to be looking at are steel boned. Once it’s on, your mobility is restricted and slouching, bending at the waist and a few other unladylike habits it can be easy to fall into suddenly become hard or impossible to do. No more mindlessly slouching, in the early days you’ll find yourself thinking about how you carry yourself and reminded of all your little slips and unfeminine posture habits, but after a little while, your body will adapt and you’ll start to carry yourself better even when you’re not wearing your corset.

For those of you that love bondage, a corset should fit you like a (slightly too small) glove. They’re not handcuffs or rope but they are restrictive. They are uncomfortable and squeeze your body in an unnatural way. As well as your posture they restrict some of your actions, eating a lot at one sitting becomes much harder (another benefit!) and when you take it off, your body will feel delightfully tender!

The basics

Like heels and chastity, measure yourself before you buy one! If it’s an underbust corset, your waist measurement is enough, if it’s overbust you need your bust measurement too.

Don’t think that because you’re slimming your waist down, you should go to a smaller size then your waist measurement. If your waist is 36 inches, buying a 30 inch corset is a very bad idea. If you’re lucky, you won’t be able to fit into it and if you’re not...well just trust me, you’re not in for a pleasant time.

Once you have your corset, you’ll be tempted to jump straight into it but take a few minutes to check and make sure it’s laced correctly (most corsets come like this, but you want to make sure! If it’s not laced or it doesn’t look correct, this is a very useful video to show you how to do it, step by step.

When you’re ready to go, take a deep breath, then let it out. I hope you enjoyed it because your breathing is going to change a little 😉.

Tip number one for wearing a corset is to wear it on top of something, not directly on your skin. This will give it a little room to shift and move without rubbing and it also helps the corset keep cleaner and last longer.

When you’re ready to put it on, loosen the laces and undo the front fastening. If you can’t put it round your body, keep loosening the laces until you can, then do up the front fastenings. You can now start to tighten the laces by pulling on them (having someone else here can help a lot, but you can reach round and do it yourself).

At the beginning, you need to break in your corset so it can adapt to your body so just pull it to a point you consider snug but not tight or particularly restrictive and tie the loops together round the front of the corset.

Once you’ve done this, you’re done! You may notice a slight change  in your body shape, but if you don’t, don’t worry. We’re just getting to know each other here.

Wear the corset for an hour and then remove it, you’ll increase the time you spend in it in future but for the first 10-14 days, repeat this. Snug but not tight and wear it for an hour.

This can be very hard, you have a hammer and you have a nail but you have to wait before you hit one with the other!

Once you’ve broken it in, you can start to tighten the laces and wear it for longer. Do one or the other to begin with (tighter for short periods or snug for longer) and then gradually combine them. If you’ve broken it in properly, the discomfort should pass fairly quickly and you’ll find the wonderful, permanent hug feeling I talked about at the start!

Onwards!

Once you have a grasp of the basics, the only limits are up to you. Consistency is very important. 1-2 hours a day will get you some lovely results and if you want to keep up a pretence of being masculine, this is where you should stick.

For those of you who want a noticeably more feminine body, 4-5 hours a day are where you should be aiming at. Work your way up to being in a corset for this length of time, jumping to long term wear will leave you feeling all kinds of emotions and usually ends in tears.

You can’t cheat on the consistency either, wearing it all day once a week will have little to no lasting effect.

You can sleep in your corset (although I wouldn’t recommend it). Your body behaves differently when you’re asleep and you shouldn’t have your corset on too tightly if you’re sleeping in it. A shaper or waist trainer is a much better thing to wear when you’re sleeping.

Progress

As with anything that takes a while to see results, record what you’re doing in your training book! Take pictures at the start, take pictures wearing your corset and out of it, measure your waist. This way you can see what you’re achieving.

If you start to lose weight or your waist becomes smaller, then you can buy a smaller corset and repeat the cycle again, break it in and then use it to train yourself down even more!

The big question is, are the effects permanent? The answer is a qualified yes, the effects of corset training are semi-permanent. If you’re consistent and stick with it, you can achieve something truly amazing but if you stop wearing a corset for long enough, you can slide back to where you started.

Homework!

Really girls? I heard that groan all the way at the front of the classroom and you can’t be that surprised! 😛

Get measuring and get browsing! You have enough information to be able to buy yourself a corset so get to it.

As you’re still deep into diddling, today you should be finding videos of women wearing corsets (they can be pornography or just regular videos) and watching those as you condition.

I’ll speak to you again in a few days time, there’s one more letter in this little series where we’ll put the pieces together and supercharge our posture.
