The Academy offers a premium course dealing with chastity training for complete beginners, which deals with getting a chastity cage, experiences around it and helps to get you into chastity.
For those of you for whom the course isn’t an option, you will need to consider the following points:
Size - measure twice, cut once as the saying goes (but in this case, don’t cut at all!). Before you do anything, measure yourself and make sure what you’re buying will fit you.
Price - when you’re starting out, you don’t need to spend too much money. Once you get some experience, chastity can be a little like panties and you’ll start to want cages with different designs and colors.
Material - metal, plastic or silicon. Plastic is usually the best choice for beginners.
Adjustability - some cages come with multiple rings. This can be useful if you’re between sizes and once your body starts to adjust to chastity, you may be able to fit into smaller rings.
Lock-type - internal or external? This usually comes down to personal preference, but devices with an internal lock are usually simpler and less likely to cause problems with your underwear.
The go-to Academy recommendation for beginners is a Holy Trainer v2 style device (and not just because it comes in pink!).

Now we can get to it! Every day, until you get the next letter, you will find a blowjob video, watch it in its entirety and then replicate it as much as possible in your shower with your dildo of choice.
If your phone is waterproof, you can always take it in with you and have it playing but you’re not in the shower to watch videos. You’re not to slavishly copy the video but use what you remember about it as a base for your own performance.
Don’t just stick to one type of video either. Hard and fast or sweet and gentle and many that are in between are available and you should explore them all.
